HOW IT LOOKS:
XGadgets are a small scripts supported by Google. They are a quick and safe way to add a new functionality and content to your page.
After enabling the plugin, you will notice a new boxes in a groups you own:
Those boxes will allow you to add a new XGadgets to your group. There are thousands of XGadgets you can use for free. You can view the list of all available XGadgets here.
After you hit the 'Add new XGadget' button, you will be redirected to this page:
You will have to download the code of the XGadget and place it in the textbox. Screenshot of the page where you can find XGadgets is below:
Afterwards, you would have to input the height of the iframe the XGadget will be in, and the access settings. When set to public, XGadget will be shown to all the users. In private mode, it will be available only for the group's owner. In 'Logged in users' view onlyusers that are logged in will see the gadget.

You can place as many gadgets on the group page as you want.
INSTALLATION:
- place in mod folder and enable
- in case of any trouble, move the plugin to the bottom of the plugin list

Plugins from Elggdev are often updated for free once newer versions of Elgg is released. This is not a rule though. Some of the less popular plugins will be updated with a delay. You can speed up this process by funding the update.
