HOW IT LOOKS
After enabling the plugin, your group links will change from:
http:/
to:
http:/yoursite.com/group-name
and your profile names from:
http:/
to:
http:/yoursite.com/user-name
The plugin also adds the AJAX group name and user name validator. It's visible during registration and during creating and editing a group:
After user enters the group's or user's name, he will be informed wether this name is still available.
Plugin is compatible with flexprofile and flexgroupprofile plugins. It's also compatible with Elgg 1.5 and 1.6
REQUIREMENTS:
- siteaccess plugin (needed only when you want to use AJAX validator on installation)
INSTALLATION:
- copy the plugin to your mod folder
- copy the two lines from install.txt to your .htaccess file. If needed, copy all 4 lines (explained in install.txt).
- enable plugin
- run 'update group and profile names' link from plugin's settings
Plugins from Elggdev are often updated for free once newer versions of Elgg is released. This is not a rule though. Some of the less popular plugins will be updated with a delay. You can speed up this process by funding the update.
