Key aspect in creating good intranet network is good planning and good communication. We use Basecamp project management platform to give you full insight into our work and progress of development. We can provide you with project planning tools if required.

Good codebase

We developed a good engine for entity and content management, rights management, breadcrumbs, navigation and multilingual translations. We can create any model of objects and relations for you, modeling your organization's structure when needed.

Interface and usability

We have a good experience at creating jQuery and AJAX interfaces. A good mechanism that allows to assign and order data easily can save your team a lot of time and frustration.

Presentation

Presenting data very often is crucial part of intranet networks. Thanks to our licences and codebase, we can present data in:

Customized groups

Groups on Challengesd can be highly customized. Group creators can use four main group layouts which later can be modified to suit group needs:

• discussion group
  
• organizational group
• problem-solving group
• thematic group
  

Modetation

Each group can have multiple administrators and moderators. Moderators can delete inappriopriate content and manage multi-threaded group forums.

Advanced language mechanisms

Site uses complex language translation mechanism, including:

• content flagging - allows users to choose content in which language they would like to see. Each content can have one or many language flags
• translation of content - allows to translate certain fieldsof entities  in the custom created content like Moodle courses or group layouts
  

Integration

ChallengeSD uses multiple integration mechanisms:

• Facebook integration - single sign on system, like buttons, integration of profile data
• Moodle integration - single sign on system, integration of profile data and Moodle courses to Elgg
• Google Calendar integration - export of events to Google Calendar
• Scribd integration - use of Scribd documents
• Share button integration, allowing to export content to multiple social networks
• OpenInviter integration, allowing to invite users from all most popular networks

Website's focus was to allow users to promote their brand and present their products. Users were able to sell their services and products with the use of website.

Most of the functionalities were based on community plugins and our custom plugins, which were rebuilt to support AJAX mechanisms. This limited amount of required work.
