This plugin enables you to edit the content of your spotlight from administration page, as well as manage the way the spotlight is displayed. You can move spotlight to the top of the page, as well as open it each time user logs in (user can hide spotlight for one loggin session only). You can also define different spotlights for any context on your site - you can have different spotlight for files, main page, settings etc. - all available in text editor.

HOW IT LOOKS:
After enabling the plugin, spotlight will be moved to the top of the page, and will be opened for every user after he logs in. You can change the behaviour of spotlight by using the 'Edit spotlight' page accessible from administration menu, or by clicking on 'Edit spotlight' link on spotlight itself (visible only for admin).
This page will allow you to edit the content of the spotlight as well. You will be able to put content in two columns - left and right. In case content is not put in right column, the left column will fill the whole spotlight.
The plugin is fully integrated with the vazco_ads plugin. This means that if you buy both plugins, you will be able to place well described and well targetted advertisements on the spotlight and display them in the way that should be most effective.
Since version 1.5 you can also use a few additional settings:
- allow your spotlight to re-appear after each login
- allow your users to edit their own personal spotlight (when they don't edit the spotlighr ,they will see a default spotlight set by administrator)
- if needed, set spotlight to be displayed only on user's profile
Since version 2.0 you can also use the contexted spotlight:
- define contexts in model/model.php (all default contexts are already defined)
- go to spotlight edit page and edit spotlight content for each of the contents separately.
- have different content for logged in and logged out users
- contexted spotlight support only one column (you can use Tinymce's table to make it look as two)
INSTALLATION:
- copy to mod folder and enable
- move to the bottom of the plugin list
Plugins from Elggdev are often updated for free once newer versions of Elgg is released. This is not a rule though. Some of the less popular plugins will be updated with a delay. You can speed up this process by funding the update.
