the development costs are covered by people who buy the plugin you payed for before. This means that if you payed 100$ for a plugin that was bought by 10 people for 10$, in case next plugin you want to have developed costs 100$, you don't have to pay anything - those 10 people cover your costs.

But If I never have another plugin developed by you, then I will have paid more than someone else for the same thing?

It's not that I don't want you to develop more plugins for me. The ones that I am looking for you have already created. I was looking for a plugin that would would make users have to apply an access code to register. But that is not a mandatory thing. That is a wish list thing.

Spending $400.00 for a forum plugin would be silly when I can either use vanilla or use phpbb almost for free.

What would you charge me to create a plugin what would only accept a music file ie .mp3, and only with the name "freak in it?

If you can read, and at this rate, I doubt it, all of my questions have been legitimate.

1. Why would someone pay more for a plugin then EVERYONE ELSE when down the line I MIGHT get another one for free???? Sounds silly to me.

2. I already go a quote for a plugin from these guys for $400.00 for a "special" forum plugin. Vanilla and PHPBB plugins are FREE! All of the other plugins I might want, need, or thought about, they have already created!

3. Lastly, pal, the "freak" plugin would go with my marketing campaign. My site is called Freakybehavior.com and my tag line is "What's your Freak Song? TM     GET IT!!!!   If you don't, give it a minute because when my site gets going, EVERYONE ELSE WILL!!!!

I doubt you could understand that. It is too advanced for you. But no matter. Just mind your business because THIS ISN'T IT!!!!!

you're right about the forum plugin. Implementing one for Elgg is simply not economically reasonable for at least 90% of the sites. Please don't start forum fights here though. There's a group for general discussion here, please use this group to continue discussion.
