Viaduct and Thrupe Swallet

After reading the guide, we were not entirely enthusiastic, the pouring rain and wet kit from the morning did not help. After having to bash down four feet of brambles and nettles for getting on for half a mile we had a joyous walk to The Viaduct..... A magnificent relic of the Beeching cuts. We then went back up the perhaps 80m tube, back to the stinking corpse and a torrential downpour outside. Dave had redeemed himself to some degree for the first cave of a miserable wet Sunday afternoon, and the punishment meted out by God when Dave was brutally stabbed in the eye by a holly bush seemed sufficient, so nothing more was said about Viaduct.
